PSP2, Switch 2 and an Xbox handheld... a brighter portable future?

Media Create chart and Japanese releases, reviews

Its a western game on top in Japan, thanks to Tom Clancy on the PS4. No Vita action in the Media Create chart, other than Super Robot Wars crossing the 100K mark as it slowly drifts down. No sign of otome title Wand of Fortune II making a fun splash, as hardware sales continue that likely flat line, down to 8,398 this week, resting until the spring holidays.

16. Super Robot Wars V (Bandai) - 4.790 / 101.336 (-63%)

Out today in Japan, to hopefully stir up next's week chart, are Accel World vs. SAO, Yu No and Fate Morgana Collection. At the end of the month, Blue Reflection is out, which given the amount of marketing and coverage that game has got, had better sell at least 100K across PS4 and Vita, otherwise some poor marketing/design genius is going in the naughty cupboard.

Meanwhile over in Famitsu land, the latest reviews show Japan's critics falling slowly out of love with Monster Hunter on 3DS, guess players will still lap it up though. Meanwhile Californian-set visual novel Side Kicks, out next week, gets a very positive response as more traditional adult VN Hatsuyuki Sakura, an update to an old Windows game, is less likely to dent the chart.

Monster Hunter XX (3DS) – 9/9/9/8
Side Kicks! (PSV) – 8/8/8/7
Hatsuyuki Sakura (PSV) – 7/8/8/7
