Root Letter can't wake snoozing Vita sales

Summer is here and half way though the year, we're on another quiet week for sales, with the Vita shifting 11,400 unit on the week according to Media Create. That puts it at 513,000 units for the year and in line to match or slightly beat 2014's overall numbers.

On the software front, Dragon Quest Heroes II sticks around the top three, selling another 13,000 copies and proving a better stayer than the PS4 version. Otome title Hakuoki Shinkai did pretty well, landing at No. 4 and selling 10,500 copies, well above the usual sales for these games, handily beating the well promoted Root Letter which sold only 4,900.

The indefatigable Minecraft is still in the top 10, shifting another 6,000 copies and approach 800,000 physical sales.

This week sees the arrival of the Labyrinth, Witch and the Wardrobe, which will probably not make much of a dent. After that its Zero Escape time, with the game scoring 32/40 in the recent Famitsu.
