After a seasonal price cut from $99 to $79 in many US retailers, the PS TV quickly went back to full price. But, it looks like Sony is getting ready to drop the price on a more permanent basis, probably in reaction to the modest-to-negligible sales it managed.
Most of the major retailers are already cutting the price and while Sony might try and keep this quiet, dare it actually promote the Vita in any way, it should be the new RRP soon enough. Perhaps promoting it as a cheap PlayStation Now device will be Sony's next step.
With plenty of other micro consoles out there, and new devices like the Forge from Razer with more modern specs, could Sony be leaving a second gadget to drift in the wind in short order.
