PSP2, Switch 2 and an Xbox handheld... a brighter portable future?

Vita sales up to 21,000 this week in Japan on the arrival of PhotoKano Kiss

Only in Japan can a game like PhotoKano Kiss outsell Bioshock Infinite, and be only a bit behind Tomb Raider, but there you go. In the latest Media Create charts, it sold 30,000 copies to land at No. 7, (UPDATE: 37,000 and No.4 according to Famitsu's chart) along with fellow new entrant Meikyuu Cross Blood: Infinity  from CyberFront which sold 9,000 to land at No. 15.

Those arrivals and the launch of the PS Vita best of budget range helped the Vita up about 6,000 sales in a week to 21,000 keeping it well ahead of the PS3, but still less than half of what the 3DS can sell on a really quiet week for Nintendo's baby.

Just behind PhotoKano was Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon Portable on the PSP which sold 26,000 copies. Here's a video of either a very bad camera-user or slightly drunk Japanese game opening and playing the limited edition version.
