Sol Trigger got a lot of coverage earlier in the year, but went a bit quiet in the summer. However, it is now out on the shelves as one of the last big PSP releases. The game lands at No. 4 in the charts behind Summon Night 3, a budget-price remake from Namco and the horde of Resident Evil 6 zombies and the new Pro Evo.

On the hardware side, the Vita has now crept over 1,000,000 sales in Japan, but Sony won't be in a mood to celebrate as it only managed sell around 8,000 this week. 300,000 of those sales came on the launch weekend, leaving nine months for it to accrue the rest. The venerable PSP managed double that and is now approaching 20 million sales in Japan.
