PSP2, Switch 2 and an Xbox handheld... a brighter portable future?

Some PSP end-of-life questions for Sony

Sunday's thought for the day: As the PSP starts the gradual journey towards history (although my original Jap model still looks clean, shiny and plays great games - a far cry from the grubby family DS Lite) there are a few obvious questions that have never really been answered by Sony that deserve to be aired.

1) Why was there never a YouTube video app for it? How little development would that have taken, how much more utility would the PSP have got with a little nod to some social media.

2) Why did development of the browser stop so early? Clearly Flash was not a greatly realistic addition (given the struggles on far more powerful devices), but surely it could have been made a little more web-friendly.

3) PlayStation Spot, did anyone one ever use that? Surely having a booth at most bigger Game/HMV stores with some unique content to download would have encouraged some use.

4) Homebrew: Now its at end-of-life how about adding an official tab for home developed code on the XMB, it could encourage developers and gamers to get into PSP and then Vita.

Any thoughts or other suggestions more than welcome...
